Server Hosting
  • Treat your servers as if you were the one hosting them yourself. You must administrate your own server. Failure to do so may result in a suspension from the hosting platform.
  • Each Kick/Ban must be made within reason and a reason must be supplied with the Kick/Ban. This is a requirement in case an issue is escalated to the administrative staff of FAP.
  • Server hostnames should be clean of NSFW/NSFL topics, though you are highly encouraged to make as many FAP jokes as you like.
  • Please monitor your own server resources such as CPU and Memory. While we do have monitoring on our end, we will turn off servers that exceed memory usage of 4096 MB. A member of the support team will reach out to you if this happens and will help. Repeat occurrences will result in, including but not limited to, harsher limits imposed on your account, the offending WAD/Mod being banned from being hosted on the platform and/or suspension from the hosting platform.
  • We do allow sv_cheats on servers, but only if they are private servers. The staff are also not responsible for any issues (performance wise or malicious behavior). As such, a connect password will be automatically enabled on these servers. You are not allowed to remove this password or turn off the required connect password setting. Doing so will result in the termination of your account, and you will not be allowed back on the platform.
  • Each account will have Eight server slots available to use. Additional slots can be requested and will be given if approved by support staff. These decisions are based on how many servers are currently up and the current server load.
  • Do not register more than one account to circumvent service limits imposed on the platform.
  • Do not login to another account that you do not own. If your account is compromised, please reach out to support staff for assistance.
Mod/WAD Uploading
  • There is a file size upload limit of 2048 MB, per file. It is recommended that your mods, if possible, use the pk3 format to compress the file size.
  • Mods are not allowed to have the following in them:
    • Copyrighted or Pirated content, such as Commercial Songs or Images
    • Commercial Mods (IWADS, ipk3s, so on)
    • Adult content of any kind
    • Any content that is considered "illegal"
    • Mods that allow cheats to be used via in-game commands or a mod menu
    Uploads will be screened and if any of the following is found, the mod will be banned and removed from the platform depending on the content found. Repeat occurrences will result in a suspension from the platform. Circumventing mod bans by reuploading the content either under a different name or file is strictly not allowed. Copies will also be banned and removed from the platform. Repeat occurrences will result in a suspension from the platform.
  • Mods can also be banned from hosting if said mod is causing performance issues. New versions fixing any issues, resolving any performance issues can be reuploaded to the platform.
  • Uploading a mod may not mean you are the creator of the mod. As such, staff may properly attribute the mod in question to the correct creator (or owner) if they are also registered on the platform.
  • We do not deal with Content issues (such as content theft or lack of credits). If someone has done this with your mod, you should reach out to the author of that mod and discuss these issues and resolve it between you and the other party. That is a fight we are not willing to join.
Playing Rules
  • Players playing on any server must abide by these rules below. Failure to do so will result in your ability to play on these servers being revoked, either for a period or permanently, depending on a case-by-case basis.
  • Players should not engage in behavior that would wither offend, harass or harm any player, server host and/or Staff, including but not limited to:
    • Harassment of any kind (examples include bullying others, targeted slurs, cyber-stalking.)
    • Doxxing or the release of any private information, within our servers, platform and discord.
    • Impersonating anyone, including staff.
    • Ruining someone's game by blocking, exploiting or shooting players etc.
    • Abusing the games systems such as abusing the voting system to get your way, spamming the chat/voice chat etc.
  • Cheating is strictly not allowed (sv_cheats is fine if it is a private server and it’s enabled) and should be reported if you do see someone actively cheating or exploiting any bugs.
Ban Evasion
  • Ban evasion is strictly not allowed and will result in the total removal from both the hosting platform and game servers permanently. We may also report to Zandronum Master Server staff, notifying them that this is happening.
Privacy Policy
  • When registering on the hosting platform, two sets of information are collected. These are:
    • Your email address, given when registering for an account.
    • IP address information, used to perform actions on the hosting platform.
  • As a player, your IP address appears on the server logs. Server hosters can see your IP address.
  • Some games (such as Zandronum) allow players to privately message other players, in-game. Please do NOT use this to give out personal information.
Moderation Policy and Decision Appeals
  • Staff will always act professionally and will take actions in accordance with the policies and rules outlined in this TOS. If you feel that you were unfairly judged, treated poorly/unprofessionally or wronged by any of our staff, you can ask to have that decision appealed.
  • Our Administrators will review your appeal on a case-by-case basis. If found that a moderation action was indeed unfair or made in error, those actions will be reverted.
Security Policy
  • Currently, we allow the use of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) as we do understand that some people may want to hide their real IP address as this is generally a good privacy action to take. If you are found abusing these to ban evade or to break the TOS, understand that we can walk this policy back at any time and prevent the use of these. You will also be permanently removed from the platform and the game servers.
  • Any DDoSing/Hacking the hosting platform and game servers will result in permanent removal from the platform, game servers and our community. You will also be reported to the Zandronum Master Server Staff and law enforcement
TOS Related Matters
  • The Terms of Service (TOS) may get changed at any time. We will send notifications of changes to this document, on the hosting platform and community spaces.
